real fruit Homemade ice-cream
Quick healthy snack. Store 2-3 months in the freezer

Peel and slice frozen bananas making sure to work quickly so they don't thaw out. Prepping the bananas first and freezing makes this an easier snack
Add frozen banana slices to blender
Blending until half way smooth, around 1-2 mins
Blend for another minute or until fully combined and creamy soft. Enjoy immediately or freeze in glass dish with lid for a perfect sweet snack
Ingredients
- 4 frozen Bananas
- 1/4 cup of maple syrup
- Optional add chocolate chips to make this a chunky monkey ice-cream
Instructions
- Cut 4 bananas into medium slices, place on lined baking tray slightly apart not touching. For a couple of hours then store them in a Ziplock bag for at least 24 hours.
- Empty the frozen bananas into the food blender until almost smooth.
- Add the maple syrup at this stage then blend again until smooth and combined.
- Either eat immediately or place in a glass lid storage container. All ready for a sweet craving, without the guilt!

- Food processer
- Sharp knife
- ziplock bag (for storing cut bananas)
Note
You will need to remember to freeze the bananas. I find if you peel and chop the banana before freezing its best. As working with peeling and cutting frozen bananas can be finger freezing.
Freeze bananas for at least 24hours before making this recipe.
